About the Role
We are entrepreneurs ourselves and constantly strive to grow our firm. In this exciting context, we are seeking a talented individual to add to our PropTech and FinTech practice as a Principle Investment Manager, with the ambition to join our team durably and evolve to senior positions.
Requirements
1) Sourcing of companies relevant to our fund investment strategy, in close relationship with entrepreneurs networks, incubators, academia, investment bankers and peer investors. Participation to PropTech and FinTech events to contribute to the sourcing and visibility of NuStar.
2) Participation to the dealflow process of NuStar, along other members of the investment team.
3) Analysis of investment proposals, meeting with entrepreneurs, selection of hot projects and due diligence in team with senior investors.
4) Participation to investment decisions along senior members of our team :
Negotiation of deal terms, preparation of legal documentation, internal validation process (including KYC), up to closing.
Follow-up of invested portfolio companies : participation to governance / board, hands-on support to entrepreneurs on strategic decisions and assignments (development/growth plan, recruitments, fundraising, performance improvement, ESG, exit, ..), reporting.
Support to divestment processes of portfolio companies.
5) Participation in fund management decisions regarding portfolio construction and balance, follow-on investments and exits.
6) Participation to funds reporting, frequent portfolio and co-investments updates with our investors as well as specific events and assignments organized with our strategic partners.
7) Contribution to fundraising activities along senior members of the team.
As a member of NuStar, the candidate is expected to take part in corporate initiatives as well as to the good spirit of our team, in particular :
Contributing to the reputation of our team, promotion of portfolio companies, taking part in professional events (conferences, networking events, startup challenges, …).
Joining hands for ESG initiatives of NuStar.
Proactive participation to the corporate life and activities of NuStar, contributing to our entrepreneurial mindset and positive culture.
Background
Scientific education : Master, Engineering degree (ideally with a focus at Property or Finance) or Property degree ; ideally completed with a business education (Business school, MBA).
2-5 years professional experience, ideally in Venture Capital / Private Equity, Investment Banking, Incubator / Accelerator, M&A / Corporate Development / Business Development in Property or Finance related industries, Strategy Consulting.
A prior exposure to PropTech and FinTech markets or technologies is required.
Prior exposure to international business settings would be ideal.
